Welcome to Austin ASHRAE, we are excited you came to visit!

Welcome back Austin ASHRAE! Once again, it’s time to start a new ASHRAE year. It’s my privilege to serve the Austin chapter this year as President, and would like to thank my predecessor, Wyatt Hahn, for his leadership and dedicated service during this past ASHRAE year.

Our goal as a chapter this year is to showcase all that ASHRAE can do for its members and the industry by providing ample opportunities for learning and fellowship throughout the year. And to that end, we have a full calendar of monthly chapter meetings, technical tours of local facilities, Young Engineers in ASHRAE events, and a Fall golf tournament, all on our calendar here. Our industry, and the people working in it, rely on ASHRAE year-round as a guide to trusted HVAC&R resources. In an era where information has never been less readily available and the need for scrutiny never more critical, we believe this service is as important now as ever. Whether ASHRAE is your go-to source for professional development and training, industry news and updates specific to your daily working lives, or great events to connect with like-minded colleagues, the Austin chapter is ready to provide for you.

In addition to engaging meeting topics and professional development, the Austin chapter’s goal for the year is to create an atmosphere of connection for our industry. Our work is more meaningful and more fun when you can share your experiences and connections with others. The social benefits of ASHRAE really cannot be overstated, and the Austin chapter is planning social events monthly to provide opportunities to meet up.

The chapter volunteers have been hard at work planning out the upcoming ASHRAE year and have been especially excited to receive an influx of new volunteers this year. But don’t worry for any of you who may still be interested in volunteering, there are still plenty of ways to get involved! If interested, just reach out to any of the excellent volunteers listed in our leadership roster.

From life-members to student members, die-hard members to those just interested in attending a few meetings, I look forward to getting to know you all better throughout the year and helping the chapter best serve you.

Best regards,
Miguel Minick, Chapter President
