THEME: Women in ASHRAE (Wia)

Main topic: Time Management for the Perpetually Busy Engineer

Main speaker: Pam Duffy, P.E.

Tech topic: The State of Women in Engineering

Tech speaker: Pam Duffy, P.E.

For the November Chapter meeting, we are fortunate enough to be joined by Distinguished Lecturer, Pam Duffy, who will lead both the Tech session, and the Main Topic. Please note that this is a lunch meeting which starts at 11 AM at Dave & Busters.

The Tech Session will cover both the current state of Women in Engineering, including both formal and informal research. The presentation will review current research and trends regarding basic data on women in engineering, gender bias, workplace culture, and more. The presentation will also cover a recent survey of female members of ASHRAE. The presenter will also provide anecdotes from her own career that put the research into perspective.

If you have a never?ending to?do list, an inbox that’s never empty, or a calendar that’s jammed with meetings…the main session is for you. Most of us don’t prioritize our time well, and as a result we confuse urgent priorities with unimportant reminders or basic tasks. This can lead to procrastination on the most important work we have on our plate. In this session, we’ll talk about various methods to manage your inbox, keep your to?do list organized, and be more productive.

It is an honor to have Pam Duffy, P.E., take the time to come speak with us. We hope to see you there for these great presentations!

Pam Duffy, P.E.

ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer
