Hello Austin ASHRAE! Please join us for our last chapter meeting of the 2025-2026 ASHRAE Season. We are changing things up a little and doing a dinner meeting at Stiles Switch BBQ, along with a raffle from our friends in Membership Promotion (MP)!
For this month, our main technical presentation will feature an ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer (DL), Jim Coogan, PE. Jim will be presenting on ASHRAE Guideline 36: High-Performance Sequences of Operation for HVAC Systems.

Main Presentation
Title: "ASHRAE Guideline 36: High Performance Sequences of Operation for HVAC Systems”
Learning Objectives:
- Explain to designers, contractors, and owners, the value of standard sequences
- Select parts of Guideline 36 that are relevant and useful to your project
- Specify sequences of operation that satisfy standards for energy and ventilation
- Choose a method of applying Guideline 36 that works for your project
Meet the Speaker:

Jim Coogan, PE – Principal Application Engineer – Siemens Smart Infrastructure
Bio:
Jim Coogan, PE, is a Principal Application Engineer in product development at Siemens Smart Infrastructure. In 40 years designing controls for mechanical systems, he has contributed to products ranging from room controllers to Internet-based interfaces. Jim has chaired several ASHRAE committees and has been a member of the Guideline 36 committee from the start. Publications include technical papers on room pressurization and laboratory ventilation. Jim earned his SB (Scientiae Baccalaureus) in Mechanical Engineering at MIT.
